Privacy Policy
Last updated April 30, 2026
tribegraph (“we,” “us”) is a Human Design chart calculator. This policy explains what data we collect when you use tribegraph.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@tribegraph.com.
What we collect
Birth information. To calculate a Human Design chart, we collect a name (or label), birth date, birth time, and birth place. The birth place is converted into latitude and longitude via a geocoding service. You can enter this information without creating an account.
Account information (optional). If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
Charts you save.If you add charts for other people (your “tribe”), we store the same birth information you provided for them.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details — only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage and device data. Like most websites, we receive standard log data when you visit (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrer). We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, privacy-friendly traffic statistics, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. The Pixel records events such as page views and chart calculations — it does not receive your birth data, chart contents, name, or email.
Cookies and local storage
Authentication cookie. If you sign in, we set a secure, HTTP-only cookie containing a signed JWT so you stay logged in. It expires when you sign out or after a fixed period.
Local storage. We store your chart and the charts of people you've added in your browser's local storage so the app works offline and across page reloads without an account. This data never leaves your device unless you sign in.
Third-party cookies. The Meta Pixel sets cookies for ad attribution. You can block these via your browser settings or opt out at Meta's ad preferences.
How we use your information
- To calculate your Human Design chart and show it back to you.
- To save charts to your account and sync them across devices when you're signed in.
- To generate AI-written insights about your chart (using Anthropic's Claude API).
- To generate optional audio episodes about your chart (using ElevenLabs and other media APIs).
- To process subscription payments via Stripe.
- To send transactional email (sign-in confirmations, magic links, billing receipts).
- To measure ad performance and improve the product.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers, each acting under their own privacy policies:
- Vercel — hosting and analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI generation of chart insights. Birth date, time, and chart attributes are sent for inference but not retained for model training.
- ElevenLabs and Google (Veo) — voice and video synthesis for premium audio episodes. Used only when you generate an episode.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — Pixel events for ad attribution and audience modeling. We do not send personally identifying birth data to Meta.
- Photon and OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — geocoding city names to coordinates.
- Resend or similar email provider — sending transactional email.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share birth data with advertisers.
Data retention
We keep your chart data for as long as your account is active. If you use tribegraph without an account, your data lives in your browser's local storage and on our servers only briefly to calculate the chart. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for debugging.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@tribegraph.com. If you're in the EU/UK or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA — including the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (we don't sell, but you can still ask).
Children
tribegraph is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes, we'll notify account holders by email.
