Your Inner Authority is your body's built-in decision-making system — more reliable than the mind, which is great at analysis but terrible at choosing what's right for you. Each design has one of seven authorities; finding yours is the heart of the Human Design experiment.
Emotional Authority
About 50% of people. Generators, Manifesting Generators, Projectors and Manifestors with a defined Solar Plexus.
Wait through the emotional wave. Truth reveals itself over time, never in the moment.
Sacral Authority
Generators with a defined Sacral and an undefined Solar Plexus.
Trust the gut response — the uh-huh or uhn-uh that arrives before the mind.
Splenic Authority
Projectors and Manifestors with a defined Spleen and undefined Sacral and Solar Plexus.
Follow the quiet, in-the-moment knowing. The Spleen speaks once and doesn't repeat.
Ego Manifested Authority
Manifestors with a defined Heart connected to the Throat and no Sacral or Solar Plexus definition.
Listen to what you say, not what you script. Whatever you blurt out is your truth.
Ego Projected Authority
Rare Projectors with a Heart-to-G connection through the Channel of Initiation (25-51).
Wait for the invitation. When deciding, ask 'what do I want? what's in it for me?'
Self-Projected Authority
Projectors with a defined G Center and no Sacral, Solar Plexus, Spleen or Heart definition below the Throat.
Listen to what you say in reaction to invitations. Your truth is in your own voice.
Mental / Environmental Authority
Mental Projectors — no defined center below the Throat.
Your guidance comes from the environment. The first question is always 'is this place correct for me?'

Reflectors only — no centers defined.
