How it works
Mental Authority belongs to a small group of Projectors with no inner motor or awareness center defined below the Throat — only the head, the mind, or the throat itself. With nothing to use as an inner compass, this design has to look outward, and its compass is the environment. The practice is unusual. Before any meaningful decision, the first thing to evaluate is the place. Not the choice, the place. Physically go where the decision lives. Sit in it. Walk around. Notice what your body does there — does the room feel right, does the air feel right, does the energy of the people in it feel like it makes you a more accurate version of yourself or a smaller one. If the environment is wrong, no amount of careful thinking will produce a correct decision inside it. The second piece of the practice is sounding boards. A small, trustworthy group of friends — not for advice, but as a surface to talk against. You hear yourself differently when there's a real person across from you than when you're rehearsing internally. The pitfall to avoid is letting your strong, articulate mind take over the decision. Your mind is here to be a brilliant Outer Authority — to teach and clarify for other people. It's not built to drive your own life. Trust place over reasoning.
